Installing / Updating WebLink Connect when using Emisoft Anti-Malware

This article is for clients using WebLink Connect with Emsisoft Anti-Malware (www.emsisoft.com).

 

Emsisoft if installed before installing WebLink Connect or installed after WebLink Connect will prevent WebLink Connect from updating and connecting to your database, unless you make the following Application Rules changes:

 

1. Open Emsisoft Anti-Malware and select Protection, then select Application Rules:

2. Highlight the rows shown individually and select Edit Rule:

3. Check all boxes in the Allow column and select OK

NOTE: This will need to be completed for both Weblink_Start.exe and Weblink_WPF.exe.  Failure to update both will result in an error.
